Artistic Matter : All works are as seen through a lens using varying sheets of reflective glass positioned in front of the slr camera at the time of exposure.
The work hasn’t been manipulated in post production.
The aims are to represent the everyday usual scenes in unusual ways by. Offering a means of visual quiet, subject matter without statement.
Artist : Adrian Flower was born on the west coast of Cumbria. He began darkroom life as a 12 year old pupil at Bushfield School in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Inspiring him to focus on photography as an art form at Cumbria College of Art & Design (1991) & Portsmouth University (1993-1996).
Adrian set up an art gallery called Studio 73 in Brixton, South London in 2010 until 2020. The gallery space hosted many shows from artists far and wide, with a huge lean on the creative community in the local area.
In 2020, Adrian introduced #lofipostershow – a fast moving way to present large poster prints on the streets of London using magnets and metal surfaces.
In 2022, Brixton Art Prize was born, a globally focused art prize that celebrates the very best in the emerging arts. The idea was born as Adrian was inspired by his time in Brixton market where fellow traders and customers bring cheer from all different parts of the globe..
