Martin Grover

Trained at the Royal Academy Schools, Martin Grover has established a practice of painting and printmaking based in Lambeth, South London. His subjects range from curious figural scenes to reimagined bus stop signage and large-scale record sleeves. Martin’s prints are imbued with a unique humour and an elegant stylisation, while his paintings display both a skilled use of illusionary devices, such as tromp l’oeil, and an inventive referencing of music culture from across the past century.

Martin has gained a following in the London art scene, having previously participated in group shows at the Royal Academy, the Royal Festival Hall and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. He has had several exhibition at Studio 73, most recently in December, 2015, with ‘Now That’s Melancholy’.
